The most impressive batter that's been in this Indian team: Ajit Agarkar praises Shubman Gill's ODI performances

The ODI series may not have gone completely according to plan for Team India. But despite the rains and New Zealand getting the better of India with some champion cricket, if there has been one man who has seemed pretty solid in the Indian top order, it is Shubman Gill.

Former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar believes that if someone has already started making a mark and will be a key fixture for Team India in the future, it is Shubman Gill.

Speaking to Prime Video in a media interaction ahead of the final ODI, Ajit Agarkar said, "He has not been overshadowed, which tells you how good he has been in these one-and-a-half ODI games. He looked imposing. In my opinion, the most impressive batter in this Indian team in these couple of ODIs."

He further added, "It's just how he now knows exactly what his strengths are. He is okay to take some time; earlier in your career, when you are younger, maybe you try to push a little bit too hard, but that's not the case anymore."

Gill got off to a slow start in testing conditions in the final ODI, but couldn't capitalise as he was dismissed for 13 as India posted 219 on the board.
