Suryakumar Yadav picks his best knock for India in T20Is

Suryakumar Yadav has been in exemplary form in T20Is, and the knocks he has stitched together in the ongoing year have been nothing short of brilliant.

At the end of 2022, SKY was already pursuing Mohammad Rizwan's record as the highest run-scorer in a calendar year in the game's shortest format. Surya has managed to garner 1800 runs with two centuries and 14 half-centuries en route to his journey to the top of the world in his T20I career.

With the staggering numbers Surya has posted in 2022, it would be tough to pick the most special innings out of them all, even for the staunchest fan of his. However, the man had an answer to the question of which was his signature best amid all the blitzkrieg in the national colours.

For any batter, a century is always memorable, and the two centuries that SKY scored came against England and New Zealand away from home. However, those aren't the knocks SKY holds dearest to himself.

Talking on a series called "25 Questions" on ESPNCricinfo, SKY said, "I think the one which I got on debut… debut fifty. We won that game, so that is very special to me."

The knock being singled out by SKY was his maiden innings, where he ventured out to bat against England in the fourth T20I of the 5-match series in [add year and venue] that saw Surya pepper Jofra Archer for an outrageous reverse ramp shot that sailed beyond the ropes.
