Shahbaz Ahmed to replace Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian squad for the ODIs against Bangladesh
BCCI had to make a couple of forced changes to the squad that will take on Bangladesh in the ODIs, as Ravindra Jadeja isn’t fit yet to feature in a full-length series as his recovery continues, while Yash Dayal had to be sidelined with a lower back injury.
India will be participating in a bilateral affair with Bangladesh where they will be playing two Tests and three ODIs. The Tests against Bangladesh can very well be a determining factor for the upcoming WTC final in the following year.
Ravindra Jadeja copped a knee injury during the Asia Cup and was ruled out of the tournament, subsequently missing out on the Australia and South Africa series before being sidelined from the T20 World Cup.
He was announced as a part of the Bangladesh series as it was expected that he will be fully fit by the time the series is played. However, the latest scans revealed that he is far from being fit and won’t be a part of the upcoming series against Bangladesh either, as revealed by the BCCI.
RCB all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed who has had a fairytale run in the ongoing year in all formats of the game will be taking the mantle in place of Jadeja.
Yash Dayal copped an injury on his lower back during one of his practice sessions, and rising fast bowler, Kuldeep Sen who made a terrific impact in the domestic arcade will be a part of the Indian squad in Dayal's place.
