Renuka Singh reveals her ‘gameplan’ that has got her success so far in WPL 2025

Renuka Singh Thakur dished out an absolute masterclass last night against the Delhi Capitals, also clinching the Purple Cap with her performance. Her brace against the Giants followed by her three-fer against Delhi has now propelled her tally to five wickets from two games.
Renuka provided RCB the all-important scalp of Shafali Verma on the very second ball of her first over. She further claimed the prized wickets of Annabel Sutherland and Shikha Pandey to leave the Capitals in an undoable rut. Winning the Player of the Match award, Renuka opened up at length in the post-match presentation about her memories of the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium and how minor tweaks to her overall bowling has proven to be a game-changer.
Renuka said, “I have good memories from this ground. I got the Player of the tournament while playing here. The crowd is really good here as well. I keep working on a lot of things.”
She concluded, “I have been working on my pace. I want to try out more things. I focus on my body as well. Sometimes I go wide of the crease. And sometimes to get rhythm I bowl from close to the wickets as well.”
