RCB Game Day: Renuka Singh predicts "an interesting match" between RCB and DC

Renuka Singh bowled a brilliant spell against Gujarat Giants in a high-octane run-fest in the WPL 2025 curtain-raiser. Her figures of 2/25 was the pick of the lot for the Royal Challengers. As RCB return to action again and this time against the mighty Delhi Capitals, talking on the Game Day preview video, Renuka Singh opened up on the importance of the fixture.

She said, “Winning the first match was very important for us because it sets the tone for the upcoming matches. It also sets a positive atmosphere. We won last year as well so there was some pressure to ensure that the first match sets the tone for us.”

Renuka further added, “Delhi has a very good batting order and they bat extremely deep. It will be an interesting match. It is definitely not going to be easy. I have played together a lot with Shafali and Jemi and we always say we will meet in the WPL. It is going to be an interesting battle.”

She concluded, “We can’t assume it will be easy because in the past, against them, matches have gone down to the last ball. Obviously, whoever plays well will win. We’re not overconfident. We’ll assess the situation and see what happens.”
