India look to level series as Bangladesh eye historic series triumph

It was not an easy start for India against Bangladesh as they came close to the finish line but couldn’t administer the coup de grace. A lot has been up for discussion ever since the defeat in the opener with India’s batting and fielding coming under the scanner.

With the fate of the series on the line, the Men in Blue will be desperate to steady the ship and will be hopeful of adding a few crucial runs early in the innings in order to enforce a slick transition to the latter half, an aspect that has been in absentia for a while.

Team India will also like to throw more emphasis on their fielding which drew flak in the curtain-raiser as it cost the visitors dearly. Another factor that will also be doing rounds in the Indian echelons is the rotation of the batting unit, especially keeping the upcoming 2023 World Cup in mind.

Bangladesh will be happy about how things unfurled. However, they will try and ensure that they can avert a collapse like that in the opener where India almost extinguished all their hopes if not for a stellar last wicket stand led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
