I have decided to call time on my career: Ashok Dinda
Former India and RCB pacer Ashoke Dinda has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Veteran pacer made his first-class debut for Bengal in 2005. Dinda got the chance to represent India in the limited-overs format, where the latter played 13 ODIs and 9 T20Is, scalping a total of 29 wickets in his international career.
The Bengal speedster had an incredible domestic career, playing 116 FC, 98 List-A and 147 T20 matches, claiming 420, 151 and 151 wickets in each of the formats respectively. The 36-year-old had good stints in the Indian Premier League with Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rising Pune Supergiants, where he played 78 matches picking up 68 wickets.
During the press conference, Ashoke Dinda took the opportunity to thank everyone who supported him and also expressed his gratitude to the BCCI for giving him a chance to represent Team India.
"Playing for India is everybody's aim, I played for Bengal that's why I got the chance to represent India. I thank the BCCI for giving me an opportunity to play for India. Senior players like Deep Dasgupta, Rohan Gavaskar guided me when I played for Bengal. I got the support every time I picked a wicket, ” Ashoke Dinda said in the press conference.

"I would like to say special thanks to Sourav Ganguly, I remember in 2005-06, Sourav Ganguly picked me in the 16-member team, I debuted against Maharashtra. I am forever in the debt to Dada, he always supported me. I have decided to call time on my career here in Bengal," he said.
