Being a cricketer isn’t about just getting the drills right at the expected moment. It is also about building memories and moments. It is about a long journey with countless twists and turns, unexpected friendships and bonds being forged along the way and eventually reigning supreme in the battle of willow and leather.

Talking about an epic journey and memories in the same breath, our RCB cricketers opened up about their most iconic moments in their glistening careers on one of the latest Bold Diaries videos, a few of which were quite emotional.

For Yash Dayal, it would always be the final over against CSK last year that propelled RCB to the play-offs. He said, “It was our match against CSK. I was bowling the final over which was also the main over. Very few people knew that it was actually a penalty over. There were five fielders inside the circle. The pressure was enormous. To handle that pressure and win the game from there, it was the best match of my life.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar pointed out Team India’s triumph in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy as the peak moment of his life. He said, “The biggest thing that happened for me as a team player was winning the Champions Trophy 2013. That has to be the first thing for sure.”

For our skipper, it was the first time when Madhya Pradesh won the Ranji Trophy. Rajat Patidar said, “My special memory will always be when I scored the winning runs in the Ranji Trophy for Madhya Pradesh. It was a very special partnership as well and for me it would always be an iconic moment for me.”

Our Player of the Match against KKR, Krunal Pandya very fondly keeps his memories of getting his international cap close to his heart. He said, “Getting my ODI cap and scoring the fastest fifty on my debut, when I lost my dad just two months back, that was quite emotional for me and all of us in our family.”

Liam Livingstone cherished winning the World Cup in Australia. He said, “Winning the T20 World Cup in MCG and been in the middle with Ben Stokes who was from a similar part in the country, we kind of grew up together and played for the same county, that was pretty cool.”
