Dinesh Karthik has evolved as the latest face of RCB as he has been in rambunctious form, picking on bowlers one by one, ripping them into shreds and piling significant knocks, ushering RCB to the much-important finishing line.

In the wake of his captivating brilliance, one of the icons of the sport and an RCB legend, Abraham Benjamin de Villiers opened up about RCB’s sensation, Dinesh Karthik, even though this has been the second homecoming for the Indian wicket-keeper.

In fact, Karthik has been in such intimidating form that the entire world has been taking notice and the plaudits that has rained over him have been simply overwhelming. Recently, Sachin Tendulkar said how impressive Dinesh Karthik has been, highlighting his sublime reflexes to pick on any line and length.

De Villiers simply wanted to turn back time, being awed by the sheer brilliance of Karthik. Talking to VU Sport, ABD said, “Dinesh Karthik, the form he is in at the moment, he has won RCB two or three games already. He looks like he is in the form of his life. I don't know where that comes from because he hasn't played a lot of cricket but man, he looks in good form. He plays all around the wicket - 360 degrees. Almost makes me feel like I wanna go back and play cricket again, watching him play.”

However, the most explosive words came at the end of the conversation where he simply sent a bout of raptures through the hearts of the RCB fans. He said, “Karthik really gets me excited, he plays under pressure in the middle-order. If he keeps this form, RCB has a good chance of going a long way.”

RCB currently sits in the second position of the points table with 5 wins from 7 games and a healthy net run-rate of +.251. They will be up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad for their next challenge slated to be played on Saturday.
