AB de Villiers explains the dynamics of RCB’s big victories over KKR and CSK

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have started off their IPL campaign in sensational fashion, brushing off major challenges in the first two games of the season. RCB secured massive wins against KKR and CSK, flexing their muscles as they ticked all the boxes to come up trumps against two heavyweights.

Talking on his podcast, RCB Hall of Famer, AB de Villiers opened up on why RCB’s start to the campaign will act as a massive catalyst for the team ahead of their first home fixture in 2025.

Explaining the dynamics of the first two wins, ABD said, “The defending champions, KKR… to beat them away from home at the start of the campaign, and also CSK whose record at Chepauk, is absolutely incredible. From here, the road actually gets easier for RCB as we look at the points table.”

He concluded his statement with a powerful note, summing up RCB’s fine fettle in IPL 2025, adding, “RCB is right on top; the only team with two wins and a fantastic net run rate.”
