Yuzvendra Chahal jumps four places, Virat Kohli holds his place in ICC ODI rankings
India and RCB captain Virat Kohli managed to hold on to his second spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings. Shikhar Dhawan, stand-in skipper for the Sri Lanka series benefited two places and is now placed 16th in the rankings.
Dhawan’s unbeaten 86 in the first game of the ongoing three-ODI series in Colombo has helped him accumulate 712 rating points, while Virat has 848 points.
Opener Rohit Sharma is just behind captain Virat Kohli and is placed third with 817 points in the rankings led by Pakistan’s Babar Azam.
The rankings have taken into account the three-match series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, the third ODI between Ireland and South Africa match and the first two ODIs between Sri Lanka and India.
As far as bowling is concerned, Yuzvendra Chahal has jumped four places courtesy his brilliant performances in the two ODIs against Sri Lanka. He is now placed 29th in the rankings.
In the ICC T20 rankings, Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan and England middle-order batsman Liam Livingstone have made big jumps after the T20I series between the two countries.
Rizwan has attained a career-best seventh position, while Livingstone has jumped 144 places to be ranked 27th.
