When it comes to Bengaluru, there is a certain freshness in the air that I connect with: AB de Villiers
In a brief glimpse of what it ideally feels to play for the Challengers, one of the icons of the game, AB de Villiers, has opened up about his first memories of Bengaluru.
Speaking to the host of RCB podcast, Danish Sait, ABD opened up about his initial memories of Bangalore, and his relation with the fans and the franchise. “My relationship goes far deeper with RCB than just playing cricket for them. I don’t think that would have been possible with any other franchises. That’s why I hold them dearer to my heart. I always connect with places that I go to. I don’t usually remember the smells and visuals of the place but when it comes to Bangalore, there is a certain freshness in the air that I connect with,” said Mr. 360.
De Villiers clarified how he would never familiarize the freshness with any other city. He said, “I thought about other cities like Mumbai and Delhi but I never felt the same with them. That is why I say I have a special connection with RCB.”
ABD was vocal about the special feeling that he had for the franchise. He said, “I have always felt special about playing in the Chinnaswamy and its fans. Always.”
