What we have seen from Will Jacks is tremendous potential: Malolan Rangarajan

RCB added an important name in Will Jacks who has been labelled as a star in the making, and given his all-round brilliance he will be a great presence in the Royal Challengers setup, considering the fact that Glenn Maxwell is still recovering from his injury.

RCB’s Chief scout, Malolan Rangarajan, opened up on how Will Jacks can be a game-changer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and what the signing of the young Englishman heralds for the Men in Red and Gold.

Talking on RCB Bold Diaries, Malolan said, “We were in the market looking for someone who could come in for Maxi obviously. Maxi is a legend of the game. Not easy to replace him. But what we have seen from Will Jacks is tremendous potential. We can see his exponential rise in the last one and half years.”

He continued, “We feel that with him in the squad we have a lot of flexibility with whom we can play as we can have anyone between one and four and the fact that he gives you a couple of overs of off-spin also, it is kind of a like-for-like replacement for Maxi. He is indeed an exciting pick.”

RCB will be eager for Glenn Maxwell to join the side before the tournament kickstarts, but only time will reveal how quickl the Big Show can recuperate from his injury.
