India will be engaged with New Zealand in 3 ODIs and 3T20Is where they will be hoping to put out a statement after a disappointing defeat at the hands of England in the semi-final of the recently concluded T20 World Cup.

The last time the Men in Blue toured the Kiwis was way back in 2020 where they inflicted a whitewash upon their counterparts while suffering the brunt of a terrible defeat in the following ODIs.

India has already announced their squad for the upcoming contests against New Zealand that has a lot of new faces in it, indicating the start of the Men in Blue’s future planning.

Going by the Kiwis' squad that has been announced to play India, they will be missing the likes of their ace quick, Trent Boult after being released from the national contract a couple of months ago.

New Zealand coach, Gary Stead talked also talked about how impressive Finn Allen has been as he said, “The emergence and success of Finn at the top of the order in white-ball cricket means a guy of the class of Martin Guptill misses out – that's just the nature of high-performance sport.”

He further added, “With the 50-over World Cup less than a year away we're keen to give Finn every opportunity to keep gaining ODI experience, especially against quality opposition such as India.”

New Zealand will be hoping to add to their ODI depth as the World Cup is in less than a year’s time and after a staggering 11 years, India will be hosting the tournament.
