Official announcement: List of players retained and released by RCB ahead of IPL 2023

The list of players retained and released for the upcoming IPL season was announced on Tuesday evening. RCB let go of four players while retaining a strong core of 18 who helped the team make the Playoffs in the 2022 season.

Amongst the overseas players, Sherfane Rutherford was the only name that was released while Behrendorff was traded to Mumbai Indians during the trading window.  Luvnith Sisodia, Aneeshwar Gautam, Chama Milind were the other three names who were released.

RCB will have a maximum of 7 slots left to fill at the auction ahead of the IPL 2023 season, of which 2 can be overseas. The team will have a purse of Rs. 8.75 crore to splurge on these slots.
