Vyshak Vijaykumar bags the Player of the Match award for his game-changing spell against Mangalore Dragons in Maharaja Trophy T20

Vyshak Vijaykumar was sensational for the Gulbarga Mystics as they trumped the Mangalore Dragons emphatically on Sunday, producing a rip-roaring spell of 2/31 from his quota of 4 overs. More importantly it was those 10 dots that the Mystics captain delivered which completely changed the complexion of the match.

His first scalp of the day was BR Sharath as the pacer razed through his defences, sending his timber for a toss. He followed it up with another peach that saw him claiming the all-important wicket of Krishnamurthy Siddharth, sending him back for a meagre 8.

The early shock provided by Vyshak was enough to leave the Mangaluru Dragons clipped and they never really recovered from the situation. The Dragons could only post 120 on the board which was easily chased down by the Mystics with five wickets and 17 balls to spare.
