Despite the contest staying alive till the final over, it was Tewatia and Miller getting their eyes in that allowed the Titans to canter away against a valiant RCB defence of a par score of 170.

There were a handful of fine displays that kept the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the hunt for a win. Before the attention shifts to another colossal challenge against the Chennai Super Kings, let us quickly take a look at the three best performances of the night for RCB.

1. Rajat Patidar

The youngster put up a strong showing and hammered home the much-important knock that would stay witness to his maiden half-century at a brisk pace, also facilitating Virat to time his innings perfectly. Rajat Patidar would connect with the loose deliveries and post some significant footwork that would play host to a sequence of gorgeous-looking cricketing strokes. At the end of the day, he would amass 52 runs that came on the back of just 32 balls, starring 5 fours and 2 sixes.

2. Virat Kohli

It took him a while to finally come to his reckoning incarnation that the world knows him for, even though it was slightly off the charts from his usual belligerent self. He had his eyes set on the prize and went after Shami right from the word go. Despite slowing down in the middle, he ensured that he kept the scoreboard ticking with some impressive running between the wickets. His first half-century of IPL 2022 saw Virat Kohli racking up 58 off 53 deliveries with 6 fours and 1 six.

3. Wanindu Hasaranga

The Sri Lankan leg-spinner has been reaping handsome dividends for RCB in the middle overs in IPL 2022. Hasaranga was extremely disciplined and bagged a handful of crucial wickets in the middle-overs, keeping the Challengers in the hunt. He bagged the all-important wicket of Wriddiman Saha as the latter fell to the lack of pace. Sai Sudarshan was his second haul of the night as he could barely read his skitter and even before he could decode what exactly had smitten him, the ball was safe in the arms of Anuj Rawat who kept wickets in place of Dinesh Karthik.
