Virat Kohli retains the top position in the ICC ODI batting rankings
India skipper Virat Kohli retained the numero uno position in the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen. The twin half-centuries against Australia in his last two ODI appearances strengthened the chances of consolidating the pole position with 870 points.
His deputy Rohit Sharma, who last featured in an ODI fixture in January last year, remained at the second position with 842 points. Pakistan's Babar Azam, New Zealand's Ross Taylor and Australia limited-overs captain Aaron Finch sum up the top five in the batters list.
On the bowling front, Jasprit Bumrah occupies the third position in the ICC bowling rankings. The pacer, who has formed the fulcrum of the Indian bowling attack, has 700 points under his belt. New Zealand's premier pacer Trent Boult continued his stay at the top of the table with 724 points.
