Virat Kohli is a legend of the game: Brett Lee

Virat Kohli was clinical in his display against Pakistan where he stitched a fabulous knock of 82 from just 53 balls. More importantly, it was a knock that was highly impactful in the context of the game and from almost an ineluctable situation, India walked out victorious, thanks to Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.

Speaking at an interaction organised by the Legends League Cricket, Brett Lee hailed Kohli as a maestro of the sport, saying, “I found it quite amusing when someone of the calibre of Virat Kohli was attacked. Those who had attacked Kohli didn't have a look at his records and his performances in the three formats of the game.”

He further added, “There are times when you don't get hundreds or you don't get fifties. That's all part of professional sport. What I do know is Virat Kohli is a legend of the game and it's very hard to keep these guys down for too long.”

Ever since Virat returned to the national side from his break, he has been in phenomenal touch where he scored his 71st century against Afghanistan and has seemed to be in tremendous flow.
