Video – Rajat Patidar pulls off an absolute stunner in Duleep Trophy
We have all seen Rajat Patidar, the batter, effortlessly toying with the bowlers without breaking a sweat. On Tuesday, the world witnessed Rajat Patidar "The Superman," who flew to take a spectacular stunner that helped dismiss Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the Duleep Trophy.
Although Central Zone, last year's Duleep Trophy winner, crashed out in the semi-final, Patidar’s catch of Sooryavanshi will stay as a highlight of the game. Sooryavanshi looked in total control of his 40 as East Zone kept cruising while chasing a modest total of 159 runs.
Sooryavanshi almost cruised away with finesse before Yash Thakur could finally produce the miscued hit. Sooryavanshi’s attempt to pummel the ball over mid-wicket went wrong and the ball went up. Patidar had to track back and put in a flight.
Not only did he run but he timed his dive to perfection, grabbing a sensational take to dismiss Sooryavanshi. Not that it made a lot of difference but Sooryavanshi’s longer residence in the center could have flipped the game even quicker.
