Very happy with the kind of experience in the starting XI - Dinesh Karthik on RCB’s squad for IPL 2025

RCB’s batting coach and mentor Dinesh Karthik expressed satisfaction at the squad put together ahead of the IPL 2025 season, particularly shedding some light on the experience and variety that the unit boasts of.

Decoding the squad and delving deep into the departments, DK, in a video released by RCB said, “Very happy with the squad, simply because of the variety in players that we have. What did we target mainly? To try and have the best bowling unit that RCB has ever had and a very strong and powerful batting unit. And I think we have achieved that as well. So, overall I would say it has been a very good auction for us.”

“Explosive power through the batting, having the likes of Phil Salt, Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, then towards the end we have Tim David, (Liam) Livingstone, there is a lot of power that you get to have in T20 cricket. And then the bowlers - Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Krunal Pandya, Josh Hazlewood - all these are experienced bowlers who you can bank on. So, very happy with the kind of experience that we have in the starting 11.”
