Andy Flower believes Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar can be key to winning matches at the Chinnaswamy
With the IPL 2025 mega-auction coming to an end, all the teams are done getting the necessary reinforcements for the upcoming season. RCB pulled off phenomenal business in the two days in Jeddah and picked up 19 players which had a perfect blend of youth and experience.
RCB’s head coach, Andy Flower was fascinated by the entire auction dynamics as he spoke at length about the process in general and the bowling strength that RCB has at their beshest on the latest video released by RCB on their official YouTube channel.
Andy Flower said, “The auction process is a fascinating thing for us as well as the fans watching it. We were looking at the various areas. A couple of things at the Chinnaswamy that are important, I think real skill in the bowling attack is very important. Even if you have got high pace, that is necessarily not an answer there.”
Talking about the inclusion of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Andy Flower said, “So getting hold of Bhuvi with his experience and high skill, moving the new ball sideways and high skill at the death is going to be vital for us. It was great to get him on the second day.”
He further added, “We saw some of Yash Dayal’s skills last year. We’ve got Hazlewood back who knows Chinnaswamy Stadium really well. He’s a high quality man and bowler. Rasikh Salam’s skill that we have already seen in the IPL and for India A, that sort of high skill and also intelligence and streetwise bowling should stand us in really good stead in the coming season.”
