Top three Indian performers against Bangladesh ft. Virat Kohli

Team India had an exciting outing against Bangladesh that saw the entire unit coming together, knocking their neighbours down to make it four out of four in the ongoing World Cup. There was a flurry of impressive displays from the Men in Blue, who did extraordinarily well to first turn the tide around and then eventually make it their own.

From a collective bowling display to the Indian top-order once showing it to the world that why they are the primary contenders to the throne, Team India still remains unscathed and in the process is one of the two teams to remain so alongside New Zealand who is slightly ahead of India due to their net run rate. Here are the top three displays from India’s clinical victory against Bangladesh in the ongoing World Cup.

1.    Virat Kohli – 103* (97)

The Indian run-machine has been in exemplary touch of late and last night’s showdown was simply another extension of his glistening form. Dispatching six fours and four sixes, Virat ensured that India’s run-chase suffered no hiccup whatsoever. He stayed unbeaten till the very end, smashing a staggering ton while also helping India to cross the finish line with a sensational six over deep mid-wicket.

2.    Ravindra Jadeja – 2/38 and a stunning catch

Jaddu arrived late in the party but when he did, he ensured that he was getting the job well done. He started his exploits with the big scalp of the Bangladeshi skipper, Najmul Hossain Shanto and then followed it up with the all-important wicket of Liton Das who threatened to run away with the match-up. However, that was not the last of Jadeja that Bangladesh had seen for the day. While Mushfiqur Rahim seemed to be in good touch, it was a stunning effort at point where Jaddu flew to his right to seize a belter of a take that removed the former from the equation.

3.    Jasprit Bumrah – 2/41

The Indian ace quick has been in intimidating touch throughout the tournament and yesterday was another chapter of imperious domination that saw Bumrah rocking the show. He clinched a couple of important wickets while being extremely frugal that choked the Bangladeshi batting unit. His haul included the all-important scalps of Mushfiqur Rahim who scored 38 and Mahmudullah, whose timbre was rattled with an absolute pearler for 46.
