The Indian bowling unit has been in sensational touch throughout the ongoing World Cup and as they prepare themselves to rock up against Netherlands in the final game of the group stages, they will be hoping for their bowlers to put up a rock-solid show. With that being said, the Indian bowlers have savoured some ecstatic outings against Netherlands over the years.

When it comes to ODI World Cups, the Indian cricket team has faced the Orange Army twice and won them both, thanks to a superlative bowling display by their bowlers who clinched 20 wickets in two games. Before the upcoming fixture, here is a look at the top three Indian wicket-takers against Netherlands in ODI World Cups.

1.    Javagal Srinath – 4 wickets

One of the finest Indian fast bowlers to have been a part of the World Cup story is Javagal Srinath. He was a part of the 2003 global event where his spell left Netherlands turned inside out as he clinched four crucial wickets at an economy rate of 3.27.

2.    Anil Kumble – 4 wickets

The Indian leg-spinner had an impressive imprint in the 2003 World Cup and one of those stunning displays came up against Netherlands as he clinched a four-fer, leaving the Orange Army derailed.

3.    Zaheer Khan – 4 wickets

Zaheer is the only one of the leading wicket-takers for India in this rivalry, and is also one of the few players to have played two editions of the World Cup against Netherlands, spread over eight years. He clinched four wickets to be in equal terms with Srinath and Kumble at an economy rate of 2.52 while registering best figures of 3/20 in 2011 that proved to be the game-changer for the Men in Blue in that particular match-up.
