Abhishek Sharma showed grit to spearhead India’s batting charge in the second T20I as the visitors blew apart Zimbabwe in an ecstatic show of all-round brilliance. Sharma registered a 47-ball-century that saw India accelerate from 74/1 in the first ten overs to 234/2 in the last ten.

RCB head coach, Andy Flower was mighty impressed by Abhishek’s heroics. While admiring Sharma’s hard-hitting, he also underscored the fact that Yashasvi Jaiswal is still to make his entrance into the team and when that happens, Team India will be unstoppable.

Talking to Sony Sports, Andy Flower said, “Well, we have got Jaiswal still coming into the series, haven't we? So that sort of competition is exactly what the Indian selectors and all the Indian followers are looking for. It makes it really interesting and it's great for the Indian game if they have got lots of options like that.”

Flower further added, “He should be confident at the moment coming off such a great IPL and then getting a hundred in his second international match. So what a great start. It's really important to get those runs as a young player because confidence and self-belief are so important to your chance of doing well. So I am very happy for him and I am looking forward to seeing more of him in this series.”

India plays the third T20I of the series against Zimbabwe on Wednesday where they will be eyeing for a second victory after a legendary turnaround.
