After a season with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Australian left-arm quick, Jason Behrendorff will be returning to his former IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians. He was roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the mega-auction of IPL 2022 where he was bought for INR 75 lakh.

Jason Behrendorff has been an integral part of the Australian domestic circuit while also featuring in 9 T20Is, claiming 7 wickets from them. His best figures in the shortest format of the game in the international circuit are 4 for 21, while from the 105 T20s played by the lanky Australian fast bowler, he has bagged 117 wickets at an economy rate of 7.41.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be riding high on the shoulders of their ace Australian fast bowler, Josh Hazlewood while Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel will be the two other architects of RCB’s pace battery in the upcoming season.

If reports are to be believed, the player auction ahead of IPL 2023 is set to be held in Kochi on December 23rd. The reports further state that this time, all the teams will have an additional INR 5 crore for every player they release alongside the money that they already have as a balance from the last year’s purse.
