With the IPL sealed and delivered, it is now time for the fans to refocus themselves on international cricket, and in less than ten days’ time they will be meeting the Proteas in a crackling 5-match T20I affair. As reported by Cricbuzz, BCCI has asked its shortlisted players for the series to be in Delhi, the venue for the opening contest by June 5th.

The 18-man squad has also been announced for the tour that will be spearheaded by KL Rahul with Rishabh Pant as his deputy. The other four contests are slated to be played at Cuttack on June 12th, Vizag on June 14th, Rajkot on June 17th, and it would all culminate with a contest in Bangalore on the 19th.

The DDCA has officially confirmed that the  Indian team will be assembling on June 5th. Going by the communique of the Proteas, the South African contingent that also comprises the IPL-winning David Miller, will be arriving in India on June 2nd.

Furthermore, the Indian Test squad that will be looking to complete unfinished business against England from the series last year, will start their journey on June 16th. The players who will be a part of the white-ball squad against England will leave on June 23-24. Rahul, Pant, and Shreyas Iyer who are a part of both the Test and the T20 squads in England will be flying after the final game on June 19th.

Just to brush up, the Ireland-bound team will be supervised by a stopgap coach, VVS Laxman as Rahul Dravid will be busy with India’s affairs in England. However, there is a pending confirmation of the fact whether Dravid will be completing the series against South Africa or if he will be England-bound alongside the team that will be heading offshore on June 16th.

South Africa squad: Temba Bavuma (C), Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Heinrich Klaasen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Wayne Parnell, Dwaine Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi, Tristan Stubbs, Rassie van der Dussen and Marco Jansen.
