Despite a valiant fight from Team India at Perth, it was South Africa who relished the last laugh as Aiden Markram and David Miller showcased a robust command over their nerves and guided the Proteas home. Here are our top three performers from the thriller in Perth last evening.

1. Suryakumar Yadav

On the Australian surfaces where pace is a major weapon that can always prove to be the unravelling of the batters, the Indian pace rookie registered incredible figures of 4-0-25-2.

3. Mohammed Shami

Despite bagging just one wicket on the night, Mohammed Shami simply didn’t let the leash go from his hands. He was picture-perfect with his execution, bowled some real good hard length and retaliated with a handful of nasty chin-rattling bumpers. He was even moving the ball around which deterred the South African batters from going up against the experienced Indian quick. He ended his day with incredible numbers of 4-0-13-1.
