Suryakumar Yadav and Wanindu Hasaranga top latest ICC T20I rankings

Suryakumar Yadav’s dream run continued at the top of the world as he kept his ace in the latest rankings rolled out by the ICC for the shortest format of the game. Owing to his excellent run in the ongoing T20 extravaganza, Surya augmented six points to his existing tally, reaching a career-best 869, 39 points ahead of Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan in second position.

RCB leg-spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga leapt to the top of the bowlers’ rankings as he finished his T20 World Cup with a staggering haul of 15 wickets. In a cut and run race to the top, he edged past Rashid Khan after the latter returned significantly lesser figures than expected.

RCB quick Josh Hazlewood claimed the third spot in the rankings while Zampa climbed up to the fifth from his earlier station at the seventh. Indian rookie left-arm seamer, Arshdeep Singh surged up to the 23rd position gaining four crucial spots to bag his career best ranking in international cricket so far. It wasn’t just SKY making merry in the batting echelons but KL Rahul also leapt to the 16th spot in the rankings after a couple of half-centuries in two consecutive contests.
