Sachin Tendulkar honoured with Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Award

Sachin Tendulkar, the man who completely redefined the art of batting, was ennobled with the prestigious Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at the BCCI annual ‘Naman Awards’ in Mumbai on Saturday. After clinching the prestigious award, the Master Blaster opened up on what a special feeling it was after being granted the award.
Talking in the award show, Tendulkar said, “I should not be giving you advice and saying, stay focused, whatever. But there'll be distractions. Don't let them disrupt your career. Value everything that we have. And look after your game. It is important to value when we have everything and behave in the appropriate manner to take the game forward and the country's name.”
Tendulkar stepped in the international yard for the first time at the tender age of 16 in 1989. He hammered a staggering 34,357 international runs across all formats while smashing a hundred international centuries. He also scored the first ODI double-century, rewriting history. His feat of playing 200 Test matches still remains the most in cricketing antiquity by an individual.
