Smriti Mandhana named BCCI's International Women’s Cricketer of the Year

2024 was a dream year for Smriti Mandhana, and she was duly rewarded for a commanding show across 12 months as the star southpaw bagged not just the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year but also the Best International Women Cricketer of the Year in the latest iteration of the BCCI Annual Awards 2025.
This was the third time that Mandhana has picked up her Best International Women Cricketer of the Year award. Her standout numbers read a staggering 747 ODI runs at an average of 57.46 while smashing four centuries in the calendar year, a new record in women’s cricket.
Mandhana racked up the incredible feats against formidable oppositions featuring the likes of New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Clubbing 95 fours and six maximums at an impressive strike rate of 95.15, Mandhana almost ran away with the race to the ace.
She started the year with consecutive centuries against South Africa in a 3-0 series win. Against New Zealand in the following series, she came up with another clutch ton in the decider. While failing to rack up a win, Mandhana blasted a crucial century in Perth which did underline her unparalleled brilliance in the international circuit.
