Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Rishab Pant, has undoubtedly played a key role in the Test circuit for India in recent times. The thing which really stands out is his ability to turn the match on its head. As the World Test Championship Final draws closer, New Zealand bowling coach Shane Jurgensen admitted that they are wary of the southpaw. He hailed Pant’s ability to play the attacking game.

“Well, Pant is an extremely dangerous player who can change the game on its head. We saw how well he did it against Australia and England. He's extremely positive-minded, but with that comes potentially the opportunity to take his wicket," Jurgensen was quoted as saying to the Telegraph.

The youngster was the chief architect of India’s historic victory in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. His unbeaten 89 helped the visitors register a come-from-behind performance against Australia at the Gabba. This is one of those knocks that will be remembered for years to come. Jurgen said that the Blackcaps bowlers will need to bring their A-game to stop the flamboyant batsman from scoring big.

“Our bowlers need to execute well, stay calm and make it as difficult as possible for Pant to score runs. He's certainly a free-flowing batsman and a tough one to stop, which we should keep in mind," he added.

Team India's well-rounded bowling attack, which includes Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, R Ashwin, and R Jadeja, is strong enough to challenge New Zealand's batting line-up. Lavishing praise on the Indian bowling attack, the 45-year-old said, “It's a challenging bowling attack that India have. A lot of options are available for them. It'll be a very, very stiff challenge we could face from Bumrah to Shardul, who's an all-rounder and has done well in Australia too. There's Mohammed Siraj and even their spinners, who can spin it both ways. It's a group of formidable, outstanding Test bowlers."
