Really happy to see the rewards for all my hard work – Renuka Singh
Renuka Singh was in clinical touch in the recently concluded India-West Indies bilateral WODI series. She claimed 10 wickets to spearhead the Indian bowling charge while her consistency was one of the key elements that saw India pile the pressure on the visitors.
Renuka won the Player of the Series award for her sizzling display with the ball. Talking at the post-match presentation, she underscored the conditions that defined the tussle. The pacer also had a word of acknowledgment for all the mentoring that she has received from Jhulan Goswami.
Renuka said, “There was swing on offer and I tried to take advantage of the conditions. One of my team-mates and I had a bet that if you pick these many wickets, you would get this and that. Really happy to see the rewards for all my hard work.”
She concluded by stating, “In Australia, we didn't do well and when I came back to India, the plan was how I can improve and take wickets during my second spell and I worked a lot with Jhulan (Goswami) and it really helped me a lot.”
