RCB chase elusive home game win at Chinnaswamy as DC challenge comes knocking

RCB return to action tonight as Delhi Capitals are all set to challenge the former’s might in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. After a brilliant start to the tournament, RCB have lost three matches on the trot. However, courtesy of a superlative NRR, they have managed to stay afloat in the top three.

RCB produced a couple of thrillers against Mumbai Indians and the UP Warriorz. However, against the Gujarat Giants, an ordinary show with the bat cost them dearly. The hosts will be hopeful of putting up a show to remember with the bat as they take the yard for one last time in Chinnaswamy this season.

The Delhi Capitals are at the top of the points table with four wins from six games. They have also had a phenomenal NRR in the hunt. Coming off the back of a double win, the Capitals will be brimming with confidence. More to that, their big guns are back in shape which will be propelling them to go on an all-out charge against RCB.

Venue Watch:

The pitch would be a fairly balanced one with batting getting a lot easier in the second half as the dew would be coming in. It will start slow but with the passage of time the ball will be coming a lot better to the willow and the carry will get a lot finer too. Chasing would be easier on this surface and one might expect this to be a decent run-fest.
