RCB Bold Diaries: We go in with a lot of confidence into the auction – Luke Williams

As RCB-W gear up for the latest iteration of the WPL auction which is slated to happen in less than a few hours from now in Bengaluru, Luke Williams, the head coach of the defending champions opened up on how the think-tank are approaching building the rest of the squad.

Talking in the latest video of the RCB Bold Diaries, Luke said, “We go in with a lot of confidence into the auction and next season, having retained the core nucleus of the group. We have obviously played some good cricket and also built some really good connections within the group that we really wanted to build on.”

He added, “That was a part of the strategy but we still want to add to our group and continue to adapt and evolve going into next season.”

He continued, “So we really follow our players carefully wherever they are playing across the world and there’s been some strong performances and we are really happy with how things are progressing.”

Shedding further light on the preparations, Luke said, “The preparations have been going on for a long time really. It has been going on since last season and across camps that we’ve had and obviously we have ramped up with retentions and releases. We have done lots of preparations and lots of planning and are looking forward to the auction and finalizing our squad.”
