Prema Rawat is a 3D player – Malolan Rangarajan
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women added four names to their echelons from the WPL 2025 auction, signing Prema Rawat, Joshitha VJ, Raghvi Bisht and Jagravi Pawar. Involved in a fierce war with the Delhi Capitals, RCB-W landed the final blow as Prema was bought for a staggering price of INR 1.2 crore.
In a video released by RCB, Malolan Rangarajan, the assistant head coach of the RCB-W, opened up at length about the signing of Prema Rawat. Rawat carved an exciting reputation for herself in the recently concluded UPL 2024 and RCB coming hot on the heels of this exciting youngster was just the beginning of a new chapter.
Malolan said, “Prema Rawat is a 3D player. She’s excellent on the field, also we believe that she is amongst one of the best fielders in the country at the moment. What’s also very exciting about her is her leg-spin. She has the ability to beat the bat on both edges. She is also a very exciting talent and she provides us decent depth with the bat. She is such a talent which we wanted to bank on this year because you never know what the rules are for the coming years. So having a player of her talent was very important for us and we had the flexibility of trying to get her.”
Prema Rawat herself had a wonderful message for the team and the fans. She posted a video, stating, “Thank you RCB management for showing faith in me and I am super excited and happy to be a part of the RCB team.”
