Mohammed Siraj shines with a 3-wicket haul against Nepal

The start wasn't as grand as Mohammed Siraj would have wanted against Nepal but the finish was certainly glittery as the seasoned pacer overturned a poor beginning to end on a high note in the Asia Cup 2023 clash.

He ran through the Nepal tail with a brilliant spell but it all started with the big wicket of Aasif Sheikh as the batter top-edged it, and Virat Kohli took a good leaping one-handed catch at covers. 

Sheikh looked in good touch at the start of the innings as he scored a fine half century but Siraj was able to find the chink in his armour, getting the ball to shape away, eventually producing the big wicket.

Siraj's second haul of the day was Gulshan Jha, who was bamboozled with the movement procured by Miyan, the ball taking the edge as Ishan Kishan claimed a simple catch behind the stumps.

It was Lalit Rajbanshi who was the final victim of Siraj's spell as the pacer barreled through his defenses, putting an end to the Nepalese innings.

This momentum will be doing a world of good to Siraj, who is being touted as a massive hope with the ball for India in the World Cup 2023.
