Mohammed Siraj achieves career-best ICC Test ranking; Yashasvi Jaiswal jumps 10 places

Mohammed Siraj has been rewarded for his perseverance and terrific performance in the recently concluded two-match Test series against West Indies, rising up five places to occupy his career-best 33rd spot in the latest ICC Test bowlers’ rankings. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal too made a massive jump of 10 places to take 63rd spot on the batting rankings, while Ravindra Jadeja climbed one position to take 6th place in the bowlers chart. 

Siraj was in red-hot form in the second Test, particularly on Day 4 of the Test when he ran through the West Indies batting unit, picking up four of the five wickets that saw the hosts crumble from 229/5 to 255 all out. 

Jaiswal, who made a commanding debut with a 177 in Dominica, followed it up with scores of 57 in the 1st innings and a 30-ball 38 in the 2nd innings to continue on his merry path of impressing in his maiden Test series. 

While Siraj and Jaiswal made big jumps, all-rounder Jadeja too earned one spot each on the batters (37th) and bowlers (6th) rankings, while he continued to hold on to his top spot on the ICC Test all-rounders chart.
