Manisha Ramadass wins bronze in Badminton Women’s Singles SU5 to enhance India’s medal tally

espite losing out her semi-final against her Indian teammate, T Murugesan, fellow Indian woman para-shuttler, Manisha Ramadass, won her bronze medal play-off against Denmark’s Cathrine Rosengren to add another medal to India’s bedecked tally.

Manisha had a relatively easy outing in the third-place playoff as she tamed Cathrine Rosengren by 21-12 and 21-8. The domination from the Indian shuttler was palpable as she clinched the first game within just 13 minutes.

Cathrine showed intent in the second game, going up by 3-0 against Manisha but in no time, the Indian shuttler yanked the reins back in her favour to secure a 10-5 lead. There was no looking back for Manisha anymore as she cruised from thereon and clinched the Bronze without breaking a sweat.
