As the RCB-W think-tank brought an end to their business at the WPL 2025 Auction, four new names were added to the squad of the defending champions in the form of Joshitha VJ, Prema Rawat, Raghvi Bisht and Jagravi Pawar. In a video released by RCB, Malolan Rangarajan talked about the names which were picked in the accelerated round of the auction.

Malo said, “The first pick in the accelerated auction was Joshitha whom we were very very excited about. One of the reviews we had in our last season was to improve our powerplay batting and powerplay bowling. I think we had a very good spin attack and we needed another pacer who could support Renuka from an Indian point of view. Joshitha has been playing good competitive cricket and currently has been playing for our country in the U19s.”

He further added, “She has a very peculiar action. Luke saw her in one of our camps maybe six months back. He was very excited and then we brought her back for another camp. So we’ve been watching her progress and we are very very happy that we could land her. She is a very exciting player, again, another good fielder in our ranks and also adds depth with the bat for us.”

He then shifted his attention to Raghvi Bisht, stating, “She plays for Uttarakhand. We’ve landed with three Uttarakhand players but there is a reason for it. Raghvi is a very consistent performer and went to Australia with the India A team and performed very well there. She is another player who we’ve been scouting for a while now. We needed a back-up batting option. We already have Meghana in our ranks, Kanika comes back in. So Raghvi gives us the option with the bat. Also, she’s got a very peculiar action in her bowling. That’s something we are looking to work on from now until the WPL, then see if we can use that also.”

Talking about Jagravi Pawar, Malo said, “She is an off-spinner from Mumbai and ended up as one of the highest wicket-takers in the recently concluded in the T20 tournament. She has good control in the death and does a very specific job for the Mumbai team. We needed her as she fills the squad, makes it a little stronger and we are very excited to have her on board.”
