It was an impressive display from India 'A', who put up a stellar bowling performance to triumph over Bangladesh A in the grand finale of ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Cup

Two of RCB’s very own, Kanika Ahuja and Shreyanka Patil, were both in fine touch, leading their side to a thrilling win after a questionable outing with the bat.

The Player of the Match from the final, Ahuja spearheaded the batting unit for the Indian team with an unbeaten 30 off 23 balls while returning with the ball to clinch a couple of scalps that left Bangladesh teetering on the cusp of decadence.

Talking in a post-match interview, Kanika Ahuja said, “I just had it in my mind that I had to win the match. Because holding up the first trophy for India, that itself was a massive thing. There weren’t any plans though. The only plan that reigned supreme was that we wanted to and we would do whatever was needed.”

Shweta Sehrawat, the Indian captain, won the toss and opted to bat first. Uma Chetry (22) and Gongadi Trisha (36) gave them the early boost despite the early fall of the captain. However, it was Ahuja who stayed unbeaten for 30 from just 23 balls to help India pile up 127/7.

Shreyanka was brilliant ball as she claimed 4/13 while being aptly supported by Mannat Kashyap (3/20) and Ahuja, who registered numbers of 2/23 to walk away with the Player of the Match award.
