As the World Cup returns to India after a long wait of 12 years, the fans are hoping that the Men in Blue will be able to replicate what they did back in 2011. Echoing the sentiment of the fans, RCB Hall of Famer AB de Villiers voiced out his opinion on the probable winners of the tournament, much to the delight of the Indian cricket lovers.

Talking about India’s chances, ABD said, “Definitely, India. I think they will go on to win it over there again. It’s going to be a fairytale World Cup. India, England, Australia - got to go with the big three. Then I want to go with South Africa, even though Pakistan has a really good chance as well. So the fourth team will be South Africa."

He further added, “I’ve gone with three non-sub-continent teams there, which is very risky. But I am going to stick to it because I think the wickets will be good. I don’t think the World Cup is going to see bad wickets during the duration of the tournament.”

The 2023 World Cup will be kick-starting with a rematch of the 2019 World Cup final that was played between England and New Zealand and the game will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium as the quadrennial extravaganza rolls on from there.
