In a recent development, Royal Challengers Bangalore welcomed Andy Flower as their new head coach who has been tasked with the onus of taking over the reins of the franchise from Mike Hesson who had four memorable seasons with RCB.

RCB Hall of Famer, AB de Villiers heaped praises on RCB’s new head coach as he talked at length about Andy Flower’s achievements and stature. ABD said, “Andy is a very successful man and is very well respected around the world. He has got a lot of trophies in his cabinet as you can see on that picture.”

He continued, “He looks very formal with the newspaper in his hand. I have a lot of respect for him. The man from Zimbabwe used to be a top-class batter. He won a lot of games for Zimbabwe. He’s an even better coach. Everyone I talked to, especially the English players, have a lot of respect for him. They only have great things to say about him.”

ABD further stated, “He is a very professional guy, very hard-working and takes no nonsense from anyone. So good luck RCB players which I really love. Hesson may not have been the best coach or maybe he was. But he was very hard on the players, very disciplined. And if you had to really play under him, you had to follow, step in line and do the right thing at the right time.”
