It's a good headache to have – Suryakumar Yadav on India’s talent depth
It was a clinical display of dominion by the Men in Blue as they vanquished Bangladesh in the T20I series opener. An overall impressive display laced with a captain special saw them secure the contest without breaking a sweat as India won by seven wickets with more than eight overs to spare.
Talking at the post-match conference, Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadav who blasted a 14-ball-29, opened up on the conditions and how the team lived up to its dizzyingly lofty standards. He also added that there is a healthy competition in the side and that is what makes it an incredible headache for the selectors to have.
SKY said, “We just tried to back our skills and what we decided in our team meetings, it worked out. The way the guys showed character playing on a new ground and the way we batted, it was great.”
Shedding some light about the team’s depth, SKY said, “It's a good headache to have when you are on the field on whom to bowl. Every time you have an extra option, it's a good thing. You learn something new every new game. There are always a few areas to improve on, we will sit down and talk about it in the next game.”
India will be playing their next game against Bangladesh on the 9th of October, hoping to seal the series once and for all with a game to spare. The match is slated to be played in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
