It is not going to be easy – Shivam Dube on challenges ahead of T20 World Cup opener

Team India put up a fine show with the bat that saw them raging through a struggling bowling unit of Bangladesh in the solitary warm-up match. Not only did they shine with the bat but their bowlers were equally brilliant as Shivam Dube and Arshdeep Singh led the charge with the ball. Dube claimed a couple of important wickets that saw India excelling towards the fine win that was up for grabs.

Talking on a video for BCCI, Shivam Dube said, “It was fun to play in this venue. It was our first warm-up game, and we felt good winning it. I feel the ground is fabulous but it is slightly challenging for the players. It is not going to be easy. For warm-up matches, when we start the World Cup, we are completely ready.”

He further added, “The mantra today was to ensure that we are getting used to good batting, bowling and fielding. We have got a good idea playing today. We also had a different experience. Definitely India plays that brand of cricket where we get love from the fans everywhere. Keep cheering for us and we will definitely give you some enjoyment on the ground.”
