India’s schedule for WTC 2023-25 announced

Team India finished the WTC 2021-23 with a heartbreak in the end where Australia got the better of them in almost humiliating fashion. Barring fragmented bursts of display, there wasn’t much that India would have taken pride in the grand finale, and now that the second edition of championship is over, it is time to move on to the 2023-25 edition.

This was the second time that India found themselves drubbed in the WTC final, as the first one came against New Zealand in 2021. It was a late slump back then when India lost their footing in the fourth day of the game after somewhat of an evenly poised affair until then. With all said and done, as India looks forward, the schedule for the upcoming cycle of WTC was announced.

Team India will be kick-starting their latest cycle of WTC with a two-match series against West Indies that will be played from July 12th to 16th and 20th to 24th in Dominica and Trinidad respectively. From December 2023 to January 2024, India will be playing a couple of Test matches against South Africa following which they will be up against England, with the latter scheduled to arrive in India in February 2024.

Bangladesh will be coming to India too later in the year in September 2024 for a couple of Test matches. Following Bangladesh’s tour to India, New Zealand will be touring the Men in Blue for three Tests that will span across October and November 2024. India will also be travelling to Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy in the fag-end of 2024 and the series will continue till early 2025.
