It will be Quinton de Kock’s first assignment as a full-time captain when they face India in the ODI series. Left-arm spinner, George Linde has received his maiden call-up to the Proteas ODI roster.

Players to watch out for

Virat Kohli: The Indian skipper will be eager to make amends with the bat after a tough series against the Kiwis. The 31-year-old is just 133 runs away from 12,000 ODI runs milestone. He is all set to surpass Sachin Tendulkar's record to become the fastest player to reach the 12,000 run mark in ODI cricket.

Hardik Pandya: The Gujarat all-rounder, makes his comeback into the Indian ODI setup. His hard-hitting and fierce bowling makes him a vital cog in the shorter formats of the game.

Quinton de Kock: The newly appointed skipper of the Proteas has been a consistent performer in the last 12-14 months. After having led the South African team to a series win against the Aussies, the 27-year-old will be a massive threat to the Indian bowling unit. De Kock has a great track record against India and he will look to continue the same form.

Lungi Ngidi: Recently, the youngster reached a significant milestone, by becoming the fastest South African to scalp 50 wickets in ODI cricket.
