India vs England: Fans return, tickets for 2nd Test to be sold only online
Spectators are all set to return to stands for an international game next week for the first time after a year in India. The second Test between India and England will witness 50% crowd capacity at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Tickets for the 2nd Test between India and England went live on February 8.
Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) took to social media to announce that the tickets for the general public will be sold only through online ticketing platforms - Paytm App and Paytm Insider App. The state association has disabled the offline sales services keeping in mind the safety protocols.
"Tickets for the general public for the Paytm 2nd Test Match between India and England at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai, will be sold ONLY ONLINE from 08.02.2021 (Monday), 10.00 a.m. onwards," TNCA tweeted.

In a press release, TNCA Secretary RS Ramasaamy confirmed that around 15,000 tickets will be available online. The I, J, K stands, which have not been used since 2012 due to legal issues, will be opened for the second Test.
TNCA in its media release has strictly instructed fans to abide by the safety protocols. Wearing a mask and maintaining the social distancing has been made mandatory for spectators. "Strict disciplinary action will be initiated by authorities against all persons violating covid & security protocols. ” - the media release stated.
Boosted by the return of fans, Team India will be keen to settle scores when they face England in the second Test on 13 February.
