The Indian youth will be embarking upon a perilous war that awaits them at Antigua as they have been slated to play the quarterfinal of the U19 World Cup against the reigning champions, Bangladesh.

They will be bolstered by the return of their first-string set who tested positive for the menacing Covid virus.

They will be reprieved to reintroduce the likes of SK Rasheed, Aaradhya Yadav and their skipper, Yash Dhull. The captain played an impressive knock in the tournament opener against South Africa that provided the much-needed confidence to the Indian outfit after a triumph in the Asia Cup.

This clash will be of significant importance, considering the vengeance underlines the preset of the contest. In the preceding edition of the tournament, Bangladesh emerged as the champions, pipping India in the final.

However, things are much different this time with the batting unit for India firing on all cylinders. Raj Bawa and Angkrish Raghuvanshi have been in exemplary form that saw them conjuring a devastating blizzard against the hapless Uganda.

To perfectly complement the batting heroics, the Indian bowlers led by Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Vicky Ostwal, have managed to rack up significant figures that would not bode well for the champions.

When the Indian contingency meets Bangladesh, they will be pinning their hopes on a resurgent Indian bowling that stars the likes of Ostwal, Hangargekar and Nishant Sindhu to derail a formidable Bangladeshi batting line-up. Bangladesh relies heavily upon their batting and in the Asia Cup semi-final it was the Indian bowling that sealed the fate of the contest.

As Yash and Rasheed return to the fold, the Indian batting lineup can continue being hopeful of another momentous total that can be a thorn in the flesh of the Bangladesh team.
