India set sights on clean sweep of England in ODI series
11 Feb, 2025 By Editor

With the series win in the bag already, Team India will be taking the yard for one final time in an ODI ahead of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. The Men in Blue will be hopeful of a clean sweep which will be a massive confidence booster for them ahead of the global event slated to be played from 19th of February.

India’s all-round performance will ease them into the series finale. A few changes might be incorporated ahead of the third ODI considering the fact that for the hosts, it’s a dead rubber. With Jasprit Bumrah in the squad as well, time will tell if the pacer is included in the playing XI, given there are still unclear doubts about his fitness.

England did manage to get their batting into shape in the second ODI but their bowlers were no match for India’s formidable batting unit. The visitors will be desperate to pull one back which might do them a world of good, with two ODI series losses in a row being a major bugbear.

Pitch conditions:

The Ahmedabad batting surface will provide ample goods to the batters in the second half with spongy bounce taking center stage in the first innings. Batters will have to be careful and if they can apply themselves smartly then runs will obviously follow suit. It is more of a pace-friendly track with the slower variations bringing further nightmares for the batters.
